How to Calculate?
First of all you have to determine the thermal resistance (R) of the clothing in m²·K/W. This is a measure of how well the clothing insulates against heat loss. Secondly, divide the thermal resistance (R) by 0.155 to calculate the Clo value, which represents the insulation level of the clothing.
Importance of CLO Value:
CLO value is measured by using thermal mannequins. It reflects the insulation properties. The insulation properties shown by different clothes like synthetic fibers, wool etc is calculated in total clo value. The down filled clothing has high CLO because it has better heat retention properties.
It is generally measured in units. 1 CLO is equal to insulation required to keep a person comfortable at rest when he is wearing the clothes of his choice. For heavy insulated clothes the CLO value is over 4.0. However, clo values up to 4.0 (from 0.1 to 4.0) for light clothing.

The par value refers to the present underlying value of multiple loans whereas, the par flush value is used to ensure that collateral value is in match of expected returns.
